“To love thy neighbor as thy self “is not written in the Ten Commandments, but it is contained in the Lord’s Prayer under forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. The key word is forgive.
Forgiveness is contrary to our human nature but its benefits are twofold. By forgiving you will entertain a life change and life saving.
Forgiving has to be learned. Jesus was our greatest teacher on how to forgive. His words exceed our human understanding and reasoning. If we have a conflict with another Jesus gives us precise instructions to initiate reconciliation and ways to resolve the conflict. We are quick to blame the other or others with words such as “You started it, I will never talk to them again even if he or she apologizes. Live and learn and avoid the people who have or tend to hurt your feelings. Jesus does not care about who started it. He is only concerned about the person who resolved it. It is your responsibility to resolve a conflict or issue.
It is very hard to do and as I mentioned earlier forgiving goes against our human nature.
Start off by rating yourself, your spouse, partner, children, friends, boss, and co-workers.

Forgiving is a mental exercise and continued exercising an event will lead to a habit. A habit of forgiving will bring you peace, happiness, love, and joy. An un-forgiving heart will shrink your life, heart, mind, and soul. Un-forgivingness brings on hatred, torment, chaos, and even more deadly sins. We must understand.
Jesus gives us words that reveal how we can gain a heart that is quick to forgive others. One key on learning how to forgive is to reflect on your own offenses against God. We quickly see how hopeless our relationship with God is. Think of the tremendous pain, torture, and death of Jesus suffered for us and that dollar your friend owes you or that insult that offended you is nothing compared to what Jesus suffered for you. For me, this means that I have a lot of forgiving to do.
Jesus words are powerful and liberating. His words on forgiving are life changing, because we experience the power of true forgiveness. Forgiving will make you stronger. Your hurts, anger, bitterness, resentment, and pain will be erased and transformed into peace, joy, happiness, contentment, and love. A great weight on holding a grudge or revenge will be lifted from your mind and heart.
